SUBTLE DISCERNMENT:
Distinguishing between Mind and Awareness

ONE-DAY MEDITATION RETREAT
with LAMA DANIELA and LAMA CHRISTOPHER

Self-inquiry is an ancient and remarkable technique for plumbing the depths and splendor of our inner nature, leading us to discover who and what we truly are, our highest and best selves. The traditional means of self-inquiry in the Dzogchen tradition is known as Rushen.

Inner Rushen is a series of contemplative and analytical meditation practices through which we can learn to distinguish the gold of our buddha nature from the brass of ego and its persona.

These meditations enable us to break through the shell of conceptuality and inhabit luminous, transpersonal Awareness.

This recognition of the Nature of Mind, our original goodness, is the key that unlocks a life of increased happiness, connection and pro-activity.

During this day of lively teachings, guided meditation and Q&A, Lama Daniela and Lama Christopher will introduce some of the classic Rushen practices of subtle discernment, as they have been passed down through the Dzogchen lineage.

Whether you are new to meditation or wish to deepen your practice, this is a great way to connect with these timeless wisdom teachings. It is entirely appropriate for all, regardless of spiritual or religious affllation (or disinclination).

Lama Daniela and Lama Christopher are both authorized teachers and lineage holders in the non-sectarian practice tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. They have each practised and studied for many years under the guidance of accomplished masters of philosophy and contemplative practice in this tradition, and have completed numerous extended silent meditation retreats.
